Bollywood dance record

Hi y'all, here to update you on the current situation.

My schools' student council planned to break a world record this year, by getting the most number of people to do a......bollywood dance! We managed to successfully earn a place in the Singapore Book of Records IMMEDIATELY after the dance.

Also, the video has been sent to the officials at the Guinness book of Records and it is still pending verification. But surely, with ACSI's 1082 vs the old record of only 314 people, I hope we can get the record.

Video below...song is Dhoom Machale (Hindi not Tamil) from the movie Dhoom. However, you will not find this version of the song anywhere else on the web. It is because this is a remixed, edited version for the dance. But, it's still very catchy.

I will be seen in the video, at about 4:48, next to the lady in pink (my teacher). I will be on her left column, first in front!

If any of you are interested in learning the dance (I doubt so), just tag and I will upload an instructional vid made by one of th councillors.

Today my principal called for a "special assembly" near dismissal to address us. Guess what? It was......public caning! Yes indeed.

Story goes: A sec 4 boy out of anger threw a broom (yes a BROOM) at his friend at it happened to hit his neck, making it BLEED. So an ambulance was called to take the boy to hospital and a police report was filed (by the hospital). Thus, the police came to my school to arrest the Sec 4 guy and charge him with causing grievous hurt. Since he's over 16, he can be jailed and caned if charge (using the prison cane of course). But...the discipline teachers negotiated with the police and they agreed to let the school use corporal punishment (caning). And thus he was supposed to be given 3 strokes. But after the second stroke, he fell to the ground in pain and the principal decided to let him off with 1 stroke to spare.

Too bad for girls in girls' schools. No caning ever.

Mun Yee, please stop saying Joey is 'better off' with me or wadever. Not only are you limiting me from like, liking another gal, but u r also limiting Joey, so...yeah. Applies to Amanda too.

I can't believe Yi Ping etudie Français! (learn french). I also learn Freanch and it is way hard. Haven't got back the results of my test yet, even after 3 weeks. Haiz... there's also a test next week...

Guess I haven't told u guys that I am in this programme called the Regional Studies Programme which is for ACSI, RI, VS and RGS only. It's a scholarship in which we must study about South-east Asia and Stuff. I just played traditional malay games today such as gasing (top), chapteh and congkak.

Nowadays I don't really play that much computer games anymore. I spend more time on my WWII flight simulator's mission builder experimenting with stuff.

Waiting for the results of my NCC(Sea) 1-star kayaking course to come out. Hopefully I'll get my license and then I can kayak anywhere in the world! (Though I'm not ready for whitewater yet)

Anyway, u guys noe Bryan Lim rite? He's trying to impress the officers in NCC so that he can have a chance to be Command Sergeant Major (Highest position, Sec 4). Why? To pump people! Also, his enthu behavior includes...showing "leadership" by commanding people around to do stuff and lazing around all of training..."leading by example" by capsizing 5 times...lol

The list goes on.

I think we should have a 6F gathering soon. You noe how much some people miss some other people...By the way, I can see that some of u guys and gals don't seem to like your schools. Why? Made the wrong choice? I guess so. Maybe it's the classmates.

Hi all, I finally think that I can get this blog back up and running.

Anyway, how did u all do for your exams? I did pretty well, I guess.

Meanwhile, I was reading this story called "A Sound Of Thunder" and I feel it's a great one. It helps you to start thinking about certain issues in life and others, if they should be carried out or not. This also helps me in philosophy.

Sadly, I had to leave early at the Nan Hua Funfair and missed most of my friends. There was laserquest and I had to go. Oh yeah, there will be another laserquest coming up and Amanda Ng, Joey and Mun Yee, you may be invited if I can book the place.

I'm stuck rushing all my homework and I still have 2 jian baos, an essay and some chinese stuff to do. As you can see, I am quite lazy at chinese.

Also sadly I have to leave for a NCC camp on Monday at 7.15am in school. The camp will be held at Amoy Quee army camp and I will be missing 2 days of school. LEGALLY! YAY!
But the downside is that I cannot bring my camera handphone to the camp as cam. phones are not allowed as they don't want you to go around taking pictures of tanks, guns, aircraft and stuff.

Quite bored now u noe.

Hi guys, srry for not blogging in about 3 months.

I just came back from my NCC camp, and will be going back to another camp on Monday. We had so much fun! Activities such as waterbomb and movie screening were held. There was even a R21 movie and it was stopped midway through. Also, no one got punished during the camp. Real fun.

Also, how are your march holidays?

I noticed that Celina really hates her parents (by reading her blog). I must say, that, I totally agree with her. Why do parents expect us to be perfect, get good grades and stuff? It doesn't make sense. And they treat us (or at least, some of them) like as if we're P1 kids and we can't take care of ourselves. Look at Stanley. He's allowed to stay home alone when his mother goes overseas. Now that's TRUE freedom!

But I do not completely agree that teachers should also follow the school rules (forum). In my capacity as a forum moderator, I must comment that teachers are our superior (to me, some teachers) and we should listen to them. Yes, I agree, some rules, like the "no pony-tail" rule, are quite harsh, but others, like cutting your hair, plaiting it (if it's long), and tucking in your Shirt/Blouse/T-shirt is all for the sake of helping us establish a sense of identity. Or should I say, the NAN HUA identity.

Graduation day is tomorrow and it'll be the last day of primary education. Most P5s will go around celebrating, but for us, the more "mature" P6s, is a day which we may have to part with our friends. All of them. You'd feel kinda sad after thinking that even though you keep in touch, your relationship may not be as strong as ever. Ever again.......

Well well it seems that people in our class have been quarreling over a handphone. Why is that so?
It seems that Joey is jealous of Amanda Ng b'cos Kimberly hangs out more often wif her b'cos of her songs(HP). Amanda also has a "cooler" phone. Why fight over a damn phone? Sorry, I should say PHONES (Kim's and Amanda's)

It seems that their friendship is being compromised over phones and songs........interesting.......(an article for the 6F newscoop!)

Today we played a 1-hour game of truth or dare. Revealing secrets before we part ways...memorable, I guess. Ernest(damn u) dared me to jump over a chair. Guess what, I did it! And, yes, my weight is 34kg(word!).

Hi Guys. I just caught this TV programme called Planet Green: Discovery Project Earth. The guys on it try to save our planet using a variety of unique ways. They tried to launch lenses into space to reflect the Sun. Did you know that by 2100, 50% of species of plants and animals will be extinct? So, act now dudes!

By the way, did you know sharks are afraid of dolphins? It has been scientifically proven that dolphins are natural caregivers, and will protect their young (or a cast-a-way) out in the sea. So next time you fall into the sea (touch wood) , try looking for a dolphin :)

PSLE is real bad. I just lost like, 4 marks. Good news is, it's not due to carelessness. My father wants me to get 265, and my personal target is 280 ( I can dream, rite?)

Hey guys, I haven't posted for so long! All b'cos of my irritating brother.

Anyway, here are the results of the polls:
1)Mitch Lam is the most unlikeable person in 6F. Period. (Yes it's right, it's Mitch LAM!)
2) Mrs Kheng is arguably the most favourite teacher of the class.

I loved today's audition! Thanks to all of you out there who supported me (Joey too) but keep your fingers crossed, as you may never know whether I'm in or not. I was pretty nervous at first, seeing how Kai Xuan and Zi Wei kinda messed up their songs, I was worried I'd mess up too. But, eventually, haha! I got 6+!

Goodbye to Tom, Josh, Meldy and Novita who are leaving us (and Singapore) today. We will miss you guys!

WOOOOHOOO! I am the highest in my class for English and Science. However, I only got 83/100 for math. So depressed.

Meanwhile, the cold war between Mun Yee and Amanda Ng has ended. Apparently, my war against Claudene hasn't ended. Joey didn't come to school today. Wonder why?

So its been a long time since I posted. I'm sick(fever) and stuck at home for two days. Just decided to let you guys know. However, my bro is staying back today so I'll have a brother-free day. I just went to see a doctor at NUH yesterday and luckily my sickness is a viral infection so I'll not need to take any antibiotics.

Also, Mun Yee and Amanda are having a cold war because of some dispute. I don't understand why they want to "Cold War" though.

Hi guys

I just got a new PC game (yay!). Its actually a WWII flying simulator which is really like flying a real fighter/bomber plane.You can choose to be German, American or Japanese. The problem is.............I don't even know how to take off! It doesn't even come with instructions.It only comes with a list of controls. And we're talking about more than 150 CONTROLS! Good thing is there's an auto pilot option :) You also can man machine gun turrets and bomb sights(for bombers)

HK Trip

OK so my trip was so long ago but i'd thought i'd share my views.Firstly, Hong Kong is a mixed cultural city(it has indians!), next ,their food is quite nice(they noe how to mix western with chinese), and their cup noodles are MUCH BETTER than Singapore's(lol). They have flavours like XO seafood and black pepper crab. It also has a sashimi flavorured C.Noodles(weird). I tried the pigeon there and it tasted something like chicken(eww).

Disneyland's drinks are super Expensive!One bottle is like, SGD$4.But me and my family got to meet the disney characters.Ocean Park has damn cool thrill rides which have height limits from 81cm to 137cm. Their museums are very big and detailed except for the space museum which is so bloody boring.One more thing, their MRT(they call it MTR) is super fast.

I'm going to HK tommorow with my family and my cousins and their family. It's a week-long trip and I'm gonna be visiting different POIs (place(s) of interest). Of course, I'll be visiting disneyland (yay!) and also 3 museums. I forgot their names though. My mum's also telling me that we're gonna eat PIGEONS. Damn sick.You'd puke when u think of eating those little things that eat waste everyday downstairs(if u live in HDB). If there's nothing to do, I'll have to play chess with my bro (i agreed). The flight there will be in SIA's 2nd newest line of planes (Boeing 777-300ER) and I'll be on a Boeing 747-400(World's 2nd biggest) on my flight back. Obviously my airline is...........you noe.......it's mentioned up there..... Anyway, did u noe that dineyland (HK) has 4 Lands not 3.Well.....nothing else to say........until we meet again, bye!

Today was a very lobo day that's why I took my time to do my Lead HW.And........I found out Lee Yuan Ting's new blog!Wonder what happened to her old one.(?) Anyway, I also cannot access Club Penguin and i'm so damn irritated. Spent the whole day watching my bro play chess online(with CPU).Pretty lobo. And its 3 more days to my Hong Kong trip. As the days go by, each day is feeling more lobo than the previous.

P.S: In case you've been wondering, lobo means boring.
